Pros
Deep concern for clients. Real expertise and strong commitment to rigorous analysis to come up the best objective answer to the question at hand. A highly diverse talent base, with lots of people who can learn from one another's areas of depth. Longstanding relationships with some of the most important companies in the world.
Cons
Even with improvements over the past few years, still not bold enough, too driven by processes and profitability optimization vs. longer-term vision. Too many fiefdoms of different partner groups and practice areas, too little cohesion. Career progression too dependent on having strong mentors and a close tie into the team of one or another small groups of partners.
