      Pros

      A good bit of freedom. People are friendly and willing to work with you. Training opportunities are great for new hires.

      Cons

      Hard to adapt to 'Michelin Way'. Salary pay is terrible compared to other companies, so many new people are leaving rather quickly for better money. Michelin is slowly moving away from all the great things that they were built on, but still not willing to pay the "competitive salary" that most companies are offering.

      Pros

      There is opportunity to spend a full career with this company, for the right person!

      Cons

      There is a terrible culture in the corporate management ranks, not my style. Careful if they hire you to "influence change" They don't want it. Also if your not an engineer in this engineer run organization chances are you will run into challenges, especially if your working in one of the plants. Compensation is not great, and getting worse as they are eroding benefits more and more every year, with plans to take even more away from their over worked staff and hourly employees in coming months/years.

      You basically can't get fired. Layoffs, well that's another topic

      Cons

      Very politically charged environment at Greenville Headquarters. Pay is nominal for highly skilled personnel. They believe that a secretary can be an engineer or programmer. I left and doubled my salary and I'm no novice. Extensive experience.
