Just a big old company, no career growth

Pros

- Work life balance - Leave balances

Cons

- No career growth, all internal projects where managers compete with agencies to bid for projects - During covid while almost every company declared holiday they kept asking their employees to come to office, first to re-open until one of senior most employees passed away. Senior management says we're monitoring all parameters, beds are still available in hospitals. Insane! - Too much politics, if you can appease and keep your senior managers happy you're on the right track - No proper appreciation for hard work, they conduct employee surveys but hardly actions are taken - One of the worst compensations, all my friends are earning more If you want to leave, you'll have to serve 90 days notice period, no less.

Pros

1. Michelin empowers its employees to voice out their opinions. Compared to service companies this is a very good culture. 2. Job security. Michelin is one of the few companies to never fire employees. 3. I miss my colleagues the most. Colleagues overall were very good and supportive and i had an exellent rapport with most of them. Especially the team culture in the CRM (Salesforce) team was pretty good but cannot say the same about other departments 4. Got decent salesforce exposure in Michelin digital centre -pune in communities which was new for me. 5. Michelin invests in training it's employees. Employees are not just considered a source of revenue but are considered future torch bearers of the company.

Cons

1. There is no long term onsite. Being a captive of a global manufacturing company, getting a long term onsite opportunity in IT is very rare and done mostly only for sales personnel. 2. Salaries are a bit moderated compared to other companies.
