Pros

Remote work, good pay, RSUs

Cons

HubSpot is a really awful place to work, with more gossip and negativity than I’ve ever seen. It feels like everyone’s out for themselves, and leadership seems to actually encourage it. They value PIPs and firing people, but it’s killing morale—most folks are ready to leave. I’m not sure they’ll ever get back their reputation as a great place to work. What’s even worse is a ton of the CEO's direct reports quit, yet she's still pushing for an even more cutthroat, high-pressure culture that causes people to shut down and aim low.

Pros

Great Product and genuine co workers

Cons

No structure or real support. Company lacking leadership and direction. Seem solely intent on maximising employee output, with high levels of burnout. Lots of internal politics and poor leadership choices. Unfortunately this is the epitome of the 'types' of people that thrive and progress. There is a huge focus on box ticking and painting an outwardly positive spin on everything.

Pros

The stock based compensation is a great benefit.

Cons

Even though they are full remote and offer unlimited PTO, I am never able to take time off. I have even had my manager decline a vacation request during a non busy work time. I am unable to have appointments during the workday because my manager schedules meeting over them or constantly slacks me during the appointment. She also slacks me at all hours of the day. There is no work life balance. The expectation is you are on the clock 24/7 and must be available at all time. Another con is the promotion process is extremely slow. If you want to get promoted, even if your manager agrees, be prepared to have to prove it over three performance cycles and document extremely high performance.
