Pros

The people (team mates, not leadership) Free food in office

Cons

The most toxic place Iv ever been. Constantly being threatened with a PIP regardless of your performance. Unattainable targets and when you need help management haven’t got a clue how to help. Micromanagement is the worst I have ever experienced it’s excruciating. This role has been career ending I don’t think I’ll ever work in Sass again after this. You are set for failure if you are an external hire and all they want is “activity” nothing meaningful, just numbers on a dashboard. There is no strategy in breaking into the larger accounts. They have taken away benefits like unlimited PTO and are lying to the public about the week of rest (they took it away) but still posting all over LinkedIn that it’s such a privilege to have the week of rest. They are also deleting comments from anyone pointing it out. Please do not come here to work- you will regret it for the rest of your life.

We’ve seen the feedback on our recent post about Week of Rest and appreciate the chance to clarify. This year, we made a shift — instead of a shared, company-wide break, we offered employees more flexibility to take time off when it made the most sense for them and their teams. Many still chose to take that same week to recharge, but our post didn’t reflect that change as clearly as it could have. We know how important time off is — for rest, mental health, and showing up as our best selves. We’re glad so many HubSpotters were able to unplug, and we’re deeply appreciative of those who continued supporting our customers and colleagues during that time. We’ll be more mindful moving forward to make sure what we share publicly reflects the full picture. You can always learn more about our benefits, including Flexible Time Off on our Careers Site: https://www.hubspot.com/careers/benefits Thanks for sharing your feedback and all that you do.

Pros

A lot of ways to learn & get better. Ok salary & stock options I went from absolutely loving the company, so there used to be so many pro’s. But they keep getting removed and the culture is disappearing as the company really tries to become a ”corp business”. Personally this doesn’t have to mean that you remove all benefits and bring out the big whip..

Cons

Removing all our benefits Salary lower than similar companies and roles Leadership is my biggest concern, it’s become very toxic & out of touch. Small company thinking in a corp package.

Pros

There are incredibly talented people doing their best under pressure, and peer-to-peer collaboration can be a bright spot. Some teams find moments of momentum, and the benefits—at least historically—were strong on paper. Flexibility exists in theory, though using it without judgment depends entirely on your org and manager.

Cons

Work-life balance is regularly compromised by unclear priorities, endless pivots, and performative urgency. Leaders talk about innovation and empowerment but rarely back it with consistent action. Efforts that challenge the dominant narrative are shut down or ignored, no matter how well-supported. AI is the new internal buzzword, but what’s being built often solves executive optics—not customer problems. Real opportunities for transformation are dismissed in favor of flashy but hollow features. Gates are disguised as “collaboration,” but operate as blockers with no transparency. Design and engineering are frequently set at odds, with leadership decisions reinforcing silos rather than breaking them. Raises and career growth are inconsistent, and meaningful promotions are increasingly rare unless you’ve secured a high-level sponsor. DEI work has been deprioritized, and discrimination—both overt and subtle—is still present and often left unaddressed. Meanwhile, some benefits have quietly been reduced or restructured, with little explanation. It’s a culture that rewards loyalty to leadership over impact or integrity.
