Pros

Five Guys really wants to take care of their employees. They put a lot of money back into the crew with incentives

Cons

The food industry as a whole is not a very family friendly place. The stress it puts on you at work as well as at home is not good.

Pros

If you enjoy workplace harassment, discrimination, mind games, and receiving no acknowledgement for hard work, then this job is for you.

Cons

- Unrealistic expectations - Zero autonomy - Non-existent 'mystery shopper' bonuses - 'Learn to earn' never happens, despite knowing all the stations - Long hours, poor pay - No remuneration for completing E-learning, despite being told otherwise - Low morale among colleagues, mostly due to terrible management - Badly organised rotas (overstaffed when quiet, understaffed when busy) - Senior management/HR have no interest in the day to day affairs of the business - Some store managers are extremely difficult and/or vindictive - Favouritism, backstabbing, and disproportionate allocation of the hard work - Gruelling, repetitive tasks - Completely fake ethos All of which means a very high staff turnover.
