Pros

There no pros about this place.

Cons

I would give negative starts if that was an option. Everything from pay to management is terrible, I don't know where to begin. The individuals who don't do actual work are the ones who get recognized and are promoted/receive significant raises. The managers don't know how to manage; and if you are related to the owner you get special treatment. You are over worked and underpaid. When asking for help, the response is "kick it over to Pune" b/c no one wants to actually help you and everyone thinks sending your issue to an India engineer is a solution. Little does management know a lot of employees do nothing and send all of their work overseas. The software never works. When a new release is deployed, it always breaks.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Your experience is vastly different from what we hear from our Technical Account Managers worldwide. At Yardi, we pride ourselves on being a family-friendly company and we are proud to share that all advancement opportunities are based solely on proven performance metrics and strong subject matter knowledge. We have zero tolerance for discrimination and have built a culture around kindness, respect, and inclusion. While we are sorry you weren’t a happier employee, we wish you all the best going forward.

Pros

A paycheck/healthcare if you’re down and out and need it.

Cons

Yardi Systems is political. The most aggravating thing about it is that when your employees are telling you leadership is dishonoring the very core values Anant built his company upon, and HR continues to refute this claim with a stock/scripted answer rather than LISTENING and implementing real changes it is almost insulting.

Without specific examples we’re not able to clearly evaluate your frustrations. Our beliefs and values focus on integrity, respect, and trust. We encourage anyone who feels that they are being treated without respect to reach out directly to our VP of HR. And, if you are truly unhappy, allow us to help you with a transition to a place that might be a better fit.

Pros

There used to be, but not anymore.

Cons

Upper management and Corporate have systematically destroyed the culture, staff and clients. This started when they acquired Ista in 2012 and then got even worse when they began the forceful outsourcing of all billing and implementation work to Pune, India. It's important to know that Pune "doesn't make mistakes", and woe betide anyone who has the audacity to question anything that a Pune team is doing. Mid-level management made it clear to upper management and Corporate that the transition to Pune wasn't working but because that wasn't what they wanted to hear, their "solution" was to start demoting, laying off, firing or reassigning anyone who "wouldn't tow the company line". This naturally led to total chaos and staff and clients alike suffered because of it. The vast majority of senior, mid level, and junior management staff were replaced with Ista personnel over time, probably because the decision was made to follow the Ista model of utility billing! A ridiculous decision when you consider this was a failing company that lost half it's business in the 3 years leading up to the acquisition. Oh, and as for promoting from within, well that's a load of B.S. Once the Ista personnel were in place that all went out of the window as Supervisor positions were filed by hiring from the outside, many with questionable experience.

We appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts with us about the Colorado Springs office. Clearly you feel as though the “old ways” were better and the changes should not have been made. Unfortunately, that’s not been our experience in the software and utility billing marketplaces. There are so many inaccuracies here that it would be difficult to respond to them all. Instead, we hope your transition to a new position is a good one and we wish you the best of luck in your future.
