Horrible place to work

Business Outlook

Pros

- Adoption of new and emerging technologies in some teams - Flexible timings and work from home

Cons

- Terrible middle management - Terrible work-life balance - Unreasonable demands - Workaholics (only) welcome - No respect for the individual - Favoritism - Politics - Failure to communicate expectations - Biggest thing is forced ranking. Employees are forced into a bell curve. The "worst performing employees" are fired.

Bad Benefits

Pros

Smart people, latest technology - I've worked here many years and Walmart really invests the time and money to stay current. You will learn a ton if you work here.

Cons

Benefits changed this year to a mandatory curve so there's a very real chance that even if you perform well and meet your goals, you may not receive your bonus or RSUs. The targets you must meet are not defined and mainly have to do with extra credit, popularity or Indian nepotism. So only work here if you have negotiated a good base salary upfront.
