Pros

If you are halfway decent at your craft you have the potential to be a shining star. Huge company so lots of places to hide out if that's what you are looking for.

Cons

Backstabby, passive-aggressive, gossipy culture. No one tells you the truth to your face. Literally my manager told me it was a passive-aggressive culture. They still send faxes (un-ironically). The family still owns a majority share of the stock and they really, really depending on those dividend checks to maintain their fly lifestyle so the emphasis on short term results is more myopic than any other company I've worked at.

Pros

The company seems to want to do the right thing by staff. But comes up short.

Cons

This place is psychological pollution. My manager was on maternity leave (her third one in a row) and let me sit for six months with nothing to do. No onboarding. I had to bug the rest of the team for things to do. In the year I was there I saw constant changes, chaos, and a general cutthroat environment. Managers throw employees under the bus for their own career gain. ….at least mine did. She was the worst manager I’ve ever had. It is such a waste of talent and company money to not develop the team. There is a code among managers that no matter how incompetent they are, they protect each other. Why doesn’t TR send out manager surveys fir the teams to provide feedback? Because they don’t care about the employee experience whatsoever!

Pros

In office (Eagan location) amenities are nice - bank, Caribou coffee, convenience store, wellness center. Recently there have been additional holidays added to the calendar.

Cons

Every year there were layoffs and every other year there were major reorganizations. Constantly a rotating door of consultants coming through and making organizational changes which then are reversed the next year. Many finance positions have been moved to India, which then creates more work as the India team often does not have sufficient business knowledge to do their work correctly the first time. Internal data sources are full of errors and inconsistencies. Instead of fixing problems they just keep creating new databases that have different data integrity issues. If you are analyzing data, most of your time will be spent just cleaning up the datasets.
