nice friendly customers that come in on a regular basis, plus not bad hours at the store too. Busy holidays

Pros

While at the UPS Store, I felt that it was quite a friendly atmosphere. The employees were very nice to work with and the owner probably was the best person I worked for. If I needed time off, it was never a problem. He even paid for our lunches before the economy took a dive. Definitely a great place to work.

Cons

The UPS Store corporate offices often were stingy on how the stores were managed, so often this stress was transferred to owners and managers, which was then felt by employees. Sometimes the level of expertise required was higher than the compensation.

Good pay, paid holidays, paid vacation.... it really all depends on which store you work at because they are all independently owned. My owner paid well but was ridiculous in how he wanted things done.

Cons

Half of the people who come in to the UPS Store (or call the store) think you're UPS (which is not the case) and this is apparently the most complicated concept ever. There are some rude customers, but I guess that comes with working with the public in general. The boss and management all depend on which store you work at, so it's hard to comment on that since it varies so much.
