Pros

Good opportunity to establish ongoing customer relationships. Diversity of revenue streams helps to equalize sales peaks and valleys.

Cons

You can't count on the franchise area office in Florida to provide any assistance to new franchisees. It seems as though their motto is "You Owe Us; We Don't Owe You Anything," even though they take a good chunk of your monthly royalty fee. Further, our experience with the local organization when we sold the business in early 2018 was that, after more than 10 months, we cannot get a final accounting of disbursements and ending balance in the escrow account which was withheld from us and, technically, is our money not theirs. Regrettably, we could not recommend buying a franchise in Florida.

Pros

Each store is independently owned, so you might get a really good manager

Cons

Each store is independently owned, so you might get a really bad manager; clientele, overall, is pushy, impatient, and demanding (not unlike the clientele for most other customer service jobs); POS, MBM, CMS and all the other software you have to use on a daily basis is difficult to navigate, and tech support is terrible; quarterly corporate visits are a waste of the store's time and money (representatives are rude and mostly unhelpful)
