People are really difficult to work with. Lots of egos and the way senior employees talk to juniors is humiliating. I was planning to leave after bonuses got paid out and then suddenly got fired "due to performance issues". Clearly it was a political move, my team loved me and the client loved me, but I probably pissed off the wrong person along the way.
