Pros
I worked at Booz and Co. for 3 years post-MBA, and I was there during the acquisition from PwC. Very impressive people with great work ethic and strong ideas, always pushing to be thought leaders in their respective industries. In just a few years, core job skills like analysis, business writing, presenting, and problem solving were all supercharged. Great support network to get you out on the road, focused on what you get paid to do: consult top company's senior leaders.
Great mentor-ship model: I had excellent mentors, both formal and informal in the company who took time to help me develop and navigate the challenging world of consulting
Compensation and perks: Well-rewarded for hard work and success. Not just compensation, but small benefits like top computer/tech, snacks in office, happy hours, etc., are awesome
Cons
Tough Work/life balance - Expect to travel Mon-Thurs every week and work pretty late while on the road. Weekend work is there from time to time, but not a regular staple, which was appreciated
Crabby sub-culture - The stress of the "up or on" model and chip on the shoulder for not being MBB made people crabby and resentful
