Pros

- hardly any, the "freebies"you get are used testers or testers that are about to be expired

Cons

- high expectations for sales metrics, to a point where it's the only thing that is constantly drilled in your head during training - be aware of "black out dates" can't call out, even if you have any emergency - clique-y management, usually only cares when sales are not meeting goals - high volume stores are dirty, too busy, with entitled customers - training is just watching videos and then expected to perform on the floor immediately - flex positions are unstable and usually are used for labor only, don't expect to stay for too long since you are technically a seasonal employee - hard to get hours even if you are FT or PT, despite being a high performing employee - strict and unreasonable attendance policy, management will not hesitate to let employees go - you get overworked and management makes it hard for employees who have a second job, they expect open availability by all means - racial bias when hiring, just visit a store to get a vibe check

Pros

30% off discount is nice and the gratis can be good if you're at a location that has higher sales

Cons

never felt such high anxiety working retail. the culture is absolutely rancid and every one of those managers has extreme mean girl energy. it's impossible to make friends working there because of the extreme lengths that leadership goes into splitting the employees up, pay wasn't also great for the insane metrics they expected you to push. They also expected you to have insanely wide availability even though you'd only get scheduled once or twice a week??? so that made work-life balance very hard.

Pros

Free product, none of which has to do with Store Development at all.

Cons

Constant fire drills with massively overworked teams, where leaders do not care about employees well being. Leadership operates in a clique, while being verbally abusive, bullying, whispering degrading petty comments and making fun of those they don't like even if those people do a great job. Not to mention the snide reactions to team members and constant responses that are intended to make a person feel like they are an idiot. The leadership's motto is to fire people or work them out, instead of coaching or mentoring, because leadership doesn't know the first thing about real leadership, nor about the real work or expertise their teams actually do.
