Pros

Mostly a "hands off" approach to management, supported by very talented and hard working employees. Very good "team" atmosphere.

Cons

Taking on too much of the parent company's corporate rhetoric. Becoming less personable and more "propagandized" through HR publications and corporate "workshops".

Pros

Labinal offers average pay and benefits. They spend a lot of money trying to advance their corporate culture and "brand" themselves in the community.

Cons

The corporate culture is very difficult to understand. They have campaigns, engagement surveys, etc. To try to proove they care but their actions speak louder and that is f you are not a French male you really do not matter. They spend thousands of dollars relocating French guys and then give us no raises or 2%.

We would like to thank you for providing feedback on your experience at Labinal Power Systems. It is only through constructive dialogue that we can become better as a business and a team. In reading your concerns, it is apparent that we need to help clarify the “why” surrounding several of our programs. It is our goal, that once we can clarify the reasons behind our processes and/or programs, they will be more understandable, and valuable, to all our Team Members. First, let’s start with addressing your concerns around the movement of Team Members throughout the company. The piece that may help clarify why this does happen is that Labinal Power Systems (and our parent company, Safran) has a clear plan supporting career development by offering career mobility. We have a diverse group of Team Members from many countries (not just France) who take positions at locations across the globe. In order to strengthen the business, we must act as one team across the Company and Group. One way to achieve this goal is by enriching our Team Members’ career experiences, like offering career mobility, while at the same time, promoting a common culture. Secondly, when it comes to compensation, Labinal Power Systems considers total compensation when gauging wage rates. Total compensation covers not only wages but benefits provided to Team Members as well. So, though our base wages may be considered “average,” our total compensation package is competitive. If there are questions about what our total compensation package includes, please feel free to reach out to your HR department and they will be happy to discuss with you.

Pros

The employees all work together as a team, sharing knowledge, skills, and experiences. It was an honor to work with them all, no matter the individual personalities I met during my tenure at Labinal. I learned a great deal, and will continue to carry that experience with me for years to come.

Cons

Production tends to get micromanaged to the point where it is counter-productive to the company as a whole. Upper management doesn't always consider the needs of their employees when making business decisions. Not much room for professional growth for employees. Fluctuating industry needs tends to hinder company growth and adversely affect the employees.
