Pros

If you like to perform a Phd or to learn a lot about a deep technical field (Power electronics), it's a good place to be (but not really the best) +good compensation thanks to the SAFRAN support +good restaurant +various projects as this is a quite small company within the SAFRAN group

Cons

- a lot of "ENSEM" engineering guys coming from this school. It creates a weird ambiance in the team especially if you are not coming from these "selected school" -Poor management and terrible communication within the team (some guys should only work in a lab because they cannot share their knowledge or communicate respectfully with peoples) - Poor process and/or not mature enough with lack of leadership

Pros

Safran is a very stable, government owned company. If you want a job that will always be there for you, then this is the place. Expectations are low, but along with the low risk from working for SAFRAN comes low reward. The salary is low and there is little room for improvement since this is throughout the different levels of management.

Cons

Being government owned has created a lazy work atmosphere. Working for Safran in Toulosue allows for no work life balance. All of the Cadre (management) are expected to work 12 hours a day (minimum) and most of the time is spent making other people do their work so that you cannot get your work done. The management style is something unique, extremely paternal where only one person can make decisions throughout the company. Since only one person can make the decisions, no one else would dare make one. So the effect is that you have a bunch of $100k guys making $1 decisions. This is contrary to management in the real world, but this is France and not the real world.

Pros

Possibility to carry out projects for different companies of the Safran Group, and extend your professional network. Stress at work is relativey low and allow a good balance between personal and professional life.

Cons

Salaries are generaly lower than in the other aerospace companies in France. Mobility inside the Safran Group is allowed only after at least 3 years in the same company.
