Pros

Relatively stress free environment Minimal OT - Great place to stay if you are thinking of studying/working part time at night Management takes on a bottom up approach, every one's opinion is appreciated

Cons

Pace maybe too slow for highly charged fresh grads Stingy company - do not expect any great benefits Salary and other cash incentives lags behind rival companies of same industry Things (work, ideas, people) take forever to move or materialize Monotonous work 'Messy' company, every department comes up with procedures that contradict other departments' procedures

Pros

pay check, easy job, employee oriented company, good benefits and lot of free time

Cons

no personal grow, low tech company, no knowledge sharing, too many employees working on the same stuff, no development, most of the development/support is based in India and that sucks

Pros

It is generally a pleasant place to work and co-workers tend to be interesting individuals. The 401K and health benefits package is good and inexpensive. The site cafeteria is very good, and cheap. They are good about keeping new-ish computers and other tools updated for people to use. Considering the chemicals used in making semiconductors, the safety is very good.

Cons

Managers: Runs the gamut from great professionals to petty tyrants. The company culture does not seem to cultivate any uniformity there. Roll the dice. Vacation: They call the vacation package "flexible time off", but ST forces employees to take many hours/days of vacation at arbitrary times in a quarterly effort to make the books look good, even when the employees do not want to take off and do not have to take off for business reasons. Disciplinary action is threatened in writing against those who resist.
