Pros

-Flexibility on your daily schedule.

Cons

- Lots of repetitive training even for ten years reps. - Change your territory at least 1 time per year. - No consistency in territory which affects relationships with your referring partners. - High employee turnover. - Biggest competitor is our internal partners. - consistently trying not to get screwed out of a deals by other in-house sales reps. - During the pandemic they took away our 401k match but still pushed us to sell it because they say it's important.....

Pros

I wish there were any pros to type right now

Cons

I was in an outside sales role at Paychex and was doing fine. Honestly, it wasn't great but it was outside sales which is what I love so I stuck with it even though it was obvious to me that my manager (even though she swore she cared sooooooo much about her team) didn't care about us at all. Sometimes would go the whole day without even answering a single phone call from me and I was a brand new rep with lots of questions because the training they give new reps here is horrible too. During Covid things just got worse. they switched the entire structure of the company WITHOUT ANY WARNING and made half of us virtual reps and gave us brand new territories (to cold call all day every single day) and brand new teams with managers and reps that weren't even in the same state as me. along with the switch came a MASSIVE pay cut that is making people struggle right now. There are people in this company with kids and families to provide for and they got a huge pay cut and got put into a role where they now have to clock in and out of every day?? In my opinion, sales is an autonomous job that you should NOT be required to clock in and out of. All of this to say, this company does NOT care about you. they will preach until they are blue in the face about how they care about your personal growth and development but I can PROMISE you they do not. if you want a company that feeds you a bunch of lies and screws you and your financial stability over, go ahead and work here.

Pros

Not many nowadays. Previously a flexible environment that allowed you to run your own business in the ways that work best for you.

Cons

Counterproductive micromanagement is out of control. Small market minded senior leadership has no idea what they’re doing and they are ounce again driving the best reps away. Expect to heavy turnover over the next year, because the field is very unhappy. Pay is far below competition, Just terminated 401k match, and everything is a cheap bandaid solution, with no real investment into sales team and overall product line.
