Upper management create an unhealthy and fairly toxic atmosphere with unrealistic expectations and KPI’s. They don’t factor in seasonal increases or decreases in demand when they set their KPI’s and then become increasingly hostile when the staff fails to meet them. Upper management from head office also treat the boutique’s management terribly which causes unnecessary stress.

Nespresso needs to do more with growth plans. They spend so much money recruiting millennials but not enough to keep them. Turnover is high. HR spends so much time recruiting. They should spend that time on development plans.
