Pros

Independence, self-satisfaction that projects or duties are taken care of.

Cons

*Management needs more work. *The pay leaves much to be desired. *Structure needs to be organized. There are good employees let go, with their work being put on one person in another department with no pay increase. Usually the people doing majority of the work is the one who is paid less than everyone else in the store.

Terrible place to work

Pros

Benefits, health and life style spending, good product. I really enjoy and care for my peers and those I manage.

Cons

This is by far the worst place I’ve ever worked. I’ve been in retail for 15 years and have never worked a worse job. 6 month probation period. every day is dependent on the managers mood, there’s absolutely no margin for error, we are chronically understaffed and the customers are frustrated with our system yet in spite of my trying to offer this feedback to upper management it’s NEVER acted upon. I have seen fights break out between customers trying to claim they were first in line. Customers are quite aggressive and Nespresso has an assertive sales style which not every employee understands the nuance and they can come across as aggressive or cold. It’s rare that I’m not yelled at by someone who’s frustrated by waiting 20-40 minutes for 1 sleeve of coffee. Then I’m “coached” constantly for letting them leave with only 1 sleeve of coffee. They don’t honour promotions that don’t stipulate they’re online only, they have a terrible refund system, their POS system is so inefficient and temperamental. Upper management has been in charge for over a decade each. Only 5 members of a team of 30 have been there longer than 1 year and myself and multiple of my peers are applying elsewhere.

Hello colleague, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we are glad that you appreciate the various benefits we provide our people with, it is upsetting to read the drawbacks you mentioned. Regarding the management, we always invest in our leaders' and employees’ development, so that everyone can work well together. It is also disappointing to read that you have some challenging customers. At Nespresso, we greatly appreciate the efforts of our employees in providing quality service, and make sure they receive all the necessary support and assistance. Concerning the increasing turnover rate, we take this matter seriously, as our goal is to create a workplace where employees can thrive and build long-term careers. We will certainly consider your insights. Your review is much appreciated, and it will be shared with the responsible team. You are also welcome to provide further details or discuss your experience in more depth with the HR team. Wishing you well in your career with us. Thank you.
