      Pros

      Working with smart colleagues, autonomous and flexible schedule, and great benefits. Sometimes the work can be really interesting, but also- it can be a little dull.

      Cons

      The lab is a slow-moving, bureaucratic machine. Work doesn't entail too much collaboration, depending on where you are in the Lab.

      This is a great place to work as an engineer if you enjoy working on interesting problems and contributing to science.

      Cons

      Things are set up such that people lead projects based on science accomplishments and not based on project management skills. Funding agencies don't seem to understand how to fund sustainable software
