I interviewed at Lawrence Berkeley Lab (Santa Monica, CA)
Interview
It was alright but the employers there sometimes don't know what they're looking for, asking undergraduates to do research in areas they don't know is sometimes unreasonable, and hiring them knowing it is out of their scope seems counterintuitive.

Question 1
Can you describe a research project where you had to collaborate across disciplines, and how you ensured effective communication between team members from different scientific backgrounds?
30 minute initial zoom interview. Then an onsite interview with a job talk, panel interview, and a few 1-on-1. Had a tour of the entire lab, had lunch with a few staff scientists. Overall pretty chill, everyone very friendly.
