Pros

Employees are bright, hardworking, and eager to collaborate and assist coworkers.

Cons

Management is outdated and does not accept many, if any, ideas from subordinates. Appeasing the manager is paramount to the project having the best outcome. Pay is not enticing compared to other opportunities.

Pros

Worked for MW Kellogg side of KBR for 29 years off & on with good pay, great benefits and a no-nonsense knowledgeable and experience personnel who cared for the people, cared for the quality work at a safe pace. Great to be part of the company until restructuring.

Cons

KBR has been restructured since 2014, replacing knowledgable and experienced "old guys" with less experienced young fella's. This was there down fall, letting the experienced and knowledgabls old hands go and hired the new college "know-it-alls". The biggest mistake is allowing other companies to 'steal' KBR's technology in engineering and allowing unethical behavior within its ranks resulting in loss revenue and clients.

Pros

- Opportunity to work on space stuff as a nasa contractor - Happy hours once a month with cheap beer and free food, put on by customer - Reasonably flexible hours - Customer was excellent to work with

Cons

- Was treated more like a grunt than a contributing member of the team - Heavily micromanaged - Was passed over multiple times for a promotion or change of work and instead the company hired new people - When I was given greater responsibilities, higher pay was off the table, nor was it given later, not even provisionally - Was not appreciated for consistently going above and beyond - Salary increases were sensitive to those of the customer - we were not allowed to have a higher % increase than our customer despite their total compensation being far higher - Our "cost of living" increases were far lower than the increases in the actual cost of living. - Essentially impossible to get merit raises - Low total compensation. The management expected that the work was fulfilling enough to overcome the lack of overall compensation. - Mentoring program was promised but never delivered. No career guidance - Tuition reimbursement was promised but it was minimal and had all kinds of strings attached
