Pros

- Remote work: Although they will pay people more (not public) to work from the office upon signing your contract. So effectively less pay for working remotely but stealthily. - Nice colleagues: The people you work with day to day (not managers or management) are generally some of the kindest and most empathetic people I have ever met. I've made friends at this job that I can't say that for other companies I've worked for.

Cons

- The "benefits" are all gone. Stock options are 1/3 of what they are outside of the US. No more unlimited paid time off. Instead the "week of rest" you have to take out of your OWN HOLIDAYS!. So effectively I get 20 days to pick for time off instead of 25 as Its soft mandatory to take a specific week off in July where it may not suit me or my family. - Out of touch management. They are obsessed and I mean OBSESSED with AI. They take out of context quotes from "customers" that are often fictitious like "Growth Gabby" to justify business direction instead of LISTENING to real human beings. - Silent layoffs for people working in UX and PEX. If you are a UX designers, run run run a million miles away from this company. This will throw you aside as soon as they want. - Helen the new CPO is honestly one of the most fake / terrible people I've had the (dis)pleasure of knowing. Katie Burke was a star and losing her was the turning point for me in this company's downfall. They are caving to the new US administration's demands.

Pros

Colleagues care for one another and help each other out Great product

Cons

- Culture has turned from the most motivating environment to the most toxic place I have ever worked. The 180 since 2022 is something to be studied - Perks ripped apart so basically the same as anywhere (I think there is a huge difference in having regular perks and having perks taken away) - Empathy is gone. - Politics is out of control. Some people are directors who have never made a drop of impact but "manage up" well. This is really not helping the company innovate and grow - Toxic environment with some managers. I have heard of people being treated badly after returning from leave. Being pushed to ramp fast, managers complaining about them taking time to look after kids etc. We used to be so kind and we were successful - why the change? - Burn out. People being pushed to work harder fast longer all the time but they change what they want all the time and it feels like there is no direction. It has gone beyond "we are testing things" and just random now - Comms from leaders is so not transparent and super condescending. Just say you want to improve operating costs stop gaslighting people! - Performance reviews use forced distribution which is archaic and renowned for destroying morale

Pros

- Amazing products to sell - Good salary - Decent benefits - WFH / Hybrid - Great sales training

Cons

There's absolutely no work/life balance with a HubSpot if you want to succeed post Ramp period. There's an over-saturation of sales reps in the SMB / MM segment, and you'll end up fighting other reps over scraps. Management is promoted from within and seems clueless on how to deal with the shifting market landscape. We've pivoted to a mostly outbound model, but the quota doesn't reflect that reality. As a result, quota is very unrealistic. Only about 25% of fully ramped reps hit quota on any given month. Leadership introduced a ghastly new clawback policy where reps are not only docked commission on clawbacks, but attainment as well. As a result, many reps achieve 120% of their monthly quota only to be reduced to 60% attainment due to clawbacks that are ENTIRELY out of their control. It's wild Additionally, the top reps are order takers who know how to steal leads. Their behavior is enabled by management that most likely pulled the same stunts when they were in the role
