Pros

Colleagues care for one another and help each other out Great product

Cons

- Culture has turned from the most motivating environment to the most toxic place I have ever worked. The 180 since 2022 is something to be studied - Perks ripped apart so basically the same as anywhere (I think there is a huge difference in having regular perks and having perks taken away) - Empathy is gone. - Politics is out of control. Some people are directors who have never made a drop of impact but "manage up" well. This is really not helping the company innovate and grow - Toxic environment with some managers. I have heard of people being treated badly after returning from leave. Being pushed to ramp fast, managers complaining about them taking time to look after kids etc. We used to be so kind and we were successful - why the change? - Burn out. People being pushed to work harder fast longer all the time but they change what they want all the time and it feels like there is no direction. It has gone beyond "we are testing things" and just random now - Comms from leaders is so not transparent and super condescending. Just say you want to improve operating costs stop gaslighting people! - Performance reviews use forced distribution which is archaic and renowned for destroying morale

Pros

The teams you work with are phenomenal. The knowledge combination between an internal customer facing teams, engineering product development teams, and Sales are unmatched.

Cons

Excessive use of PIPs to oust employees after multiple high revenue launches, with no explanation, actual documentation, or factual data. Reviews have been adjusted to allow for terminations post pre-approved leaves. Salaries are a joke. You are always in a cover yourself mode 24/7. Management reviews are consistently a 2 or 3 out of 5 no matter what. If a team decides you aren’t in the group, management will put you on a “unofficial” PIP without telling you, in order to surprise you at a later date. Even if they are unfounded. Beware of possibility of negative backlash post launches. They will feel the need to assign blame ( such as for timelines or issues related to bugs). Regardless of performance or level of involvement. This is an enormous company with many large paths for career advancement. But micro management is rampant, leaving little room for doing the daily expectations of your actual role. This degrades your opportunities for career advancement.
