Pros

Remote and hybrid option offers flexibility. Skilled, competent individuals can be found throughout the company (primarily in IC roles). Stock has been doing well as of late which keeps people sticking around.

Cons

Incredibly toxic culture and poor leadership at all levels across the org. The culture has been intentionally moved towards a high performance incentivized model, but it's being implemented inconsistently and doesn't drive improved quality of product so much as turn the culture into one of distrust, compromised collaboration, and fear. The company has scaled and seem to be struggling to find a way forward and is embracing an approach that favors threatening and distrusting employees vs. empowering them. Feels like leaders look to big tech and copy whatever they see there, hoping it'll work for them too... fear seems to be rooted at the top and cascading down from there.

Pros

My colleagues are some of the best people I've met in my career Benefits are helpful Flexibility between remote and in office is very good

Cons

Since the layoffs and some high profile leaders leaving the CEO has openly pushed the high performance agenda. When challenged on how they handled the layoffs they basically fobbed us off. They claim it's for the better of the company but "try" to show they are sympathetic and don't want burnout. But they're missing the mark so much People are miserable. I've never seen so many people leaving or looking to leave since I joined than I have the past 6 months. Hubspot is in real danger of losing what it was and some great great people. There is so much micro management and the flaunting of AI to everyone knowing it will impact our roles shows no human side. We are being pushed to absolute maximum and even when you overachieve you are taken advantage of as they see you as an asset to use . Family life is being impacted and relationships are being affected because people are starting early and working late. I could write for so much more but ultimately senior leaders don't care about these reviews. All their messaging internally is that of things are great and amazing and we are all so so happy. When in fact everyone pretty much I speak to wants to leave There is basically no mobility options internally and when there is , you are given some crappy excuses from a non caring decision maker. If you are looking to join. I would really think about whether you want to , hubspot has changed and for the worst.

Pros

Product and training, you will learn helpful basic selling

Cons

Reps cheat and front run hot leads that are ready to buy, which otherwise are supposed to be distributed fairly across all reps. Management figured out after years that this was happening, and tried to fix the broken Hubspot system. They couldn’t, so they started to quote “promote front running again”. If you figure out how to cheat yourself and your peers, and you will do great here. Overworked, over hiring, reps will cheat, and you have to be part of the cult.
