Pros

They hire just about anyone who can read and write.

Cons

This company does not pay their employees bonuses that they earned, offers PTO then recinds it and pretends it never happened. Trainers just get thrown into training new employee groups with seemingly no experience in training or the subject they train on. They do not pay you if you have any IT issues and aren't "working" even if it is issues with the equipment they provide. Their HR department refuses to handle issues that are brought to their attention and say "bring it up to your trainer/coach" even if you stated that you had already done so or the issue is with that person. Things like derogatory comments by coaches to their underlings are just brushed off. Sitels managers/coaches/trainers seem to act like everything isn't for them to handle even if it is in their job description. As a customer service representative you get treated poorly, and are told several times throughout the year that "your going to have a week or more off with no pay starting next week because things are slow right now, but you need to be available 24/7 incase we need you". Absolutely unprofessional company. Run, don't walk far far away from these people.

🤷🏻‍♀️ still unknown .....nothing but regret

Everything they lie from the beginning to the end; they hire this year a bunch of people around the world to work in a project and they lie completely to us; offering us many things that they didn’t comply with. They pay us less: then they said; they changed the conditions offered once arrived in Portugal, they don’t give you the relocation package they offered by email, they do not pay the travel ticket to go there as they offered, they don’t give you the food allowance they offered either, they don’t give you the copy of your job contract and many documents they make you sign without reading them as they wait in front of you to do it, they don’t say you have to pay for taxes of paperwork which is compulsory by law since you arrive there, they deduct from your wages the time you expend doing that paperwork, the welcome team they have is a joke they do nothing!!, and they don’t give you the relocation package to yourself either this is a complete scam lying to foreigners to go there to work for them. Is really crazy they way they do work it seems to be another world out of the European Union 🇪🇺 there is not way to complain either and they cover each other! So think twice to go there with this devils to work it is a shame for us! I expended more than 600€ to take the job and they pay me 200€ wages after cancelling the project and kick us all to the street with not rights! I wish this company collapse and close down they do deserved as their customers don’t even know they treat people this way! A complete shame on them!

Pros

- pays weekly - will hire anyone (literally anyone) - fully paid training - the job is (in theory) easy

Cons

- terrible pay - managers who vastly underqualified and have no respect for the advisors - long hours and short breaks - disgusting shared headsets and hot desking - rubbish progression prospects (even for an overqualified graduate) - customers will make you cry and/or raise your blood pressure to unhealthy levels - you'll get told off if you spend too long (i.e. over 4 minutes) in the toilet during your shift - no premia for working weekends/bank holidays - very difficult to book holiday - they won't even give you a reference when you finally escape to another job

We understand that the role can sometimes be demanding and we make sure to ease this for all employees wherever possible. This could be anything from engagement outside of the day to day role or perhaps a session on stress management or an exercise class. In terms of booking holiday, we have since made positive changes to the systems and how this is booked.
