Pros

The company has great colleagues, If you're a nerd then the company has a lot of them so you will make friends for life.

Cons

The company used to be fun to work for, now it desperately is gunning for profits over well-being of their staff. At store level you're expected to cover mobile, warehouse, your section and customer care. This in smaller stores do not work with the lack of colleagues. You can be lumbered on customer service and mobile, which does not go towards your KPI's which dispite doing your job can end up you missing targets and going down the line of discipline processing which is a very unfair process. There is a slim chance for progression around the business. This is very slim as a majoritiy of roles the feedback will be not enough experiance with no way of gaining it. You want to be a part of a project? Good but if you are at store level it will impact your target and you will go down the discipline route for you guessed it. Doing your job and even though you're going above and beyond.

Pros

Pay and bonus are decent, especially if it's your first job. Generous PTO - even as a part time colleague. Employee discount is nice to have.

Cons

Middle management can be extremely spiteful in an attempt to improve KPI numbers. This came to being borderline abusive for me. There was a period of time where I was getting written-up twice a day and constantly being talked down to as I wasn't managing to hit targets in a sale. At one point, I had forgotten to give a CSAT slip (a piece of paper with the colleagues name on) to a customer, and was brought into the back to talk about it. I told them I had made a mistake, and forgot about it, but the manager told me "I don't trust a word that comes out of your mouth" - word for word. This kind of treatment continued until they had found someone else to pick on. The culture is amazing when colleagues are at the same level, but it seems that the hierarchy causes nastiness that I have never seen before. If you aren't an extremely resilient person, I'd avoid this company at all costs. I got extremely close to quitting, and only didn't because of the financial situation it would have put me in. For a company which claims that it's core value is doing right for the customer, it is evident that profit is the clear motivator, and they are happy to ruin the mental health of their staff to increase it.
