Right, where do I begin. I have worked at curry for over a year now and I must say I have been far from impressed. HR do not like getting their hands dirty. They always stick by the managers and nothing is done professionally. All the store managers brown nose one another and have to be in the "loop" about what is going on. Store managers are overpaid for what they do, its the sales colleagues that are putting money in the till whilst the managers sit on their backsides doing absolutely nothing, or stood at the front of the store. The targets your are faced with are just ridiculous. Not even Alan Sugar would meet these targets ebery week in this environment. The pay scales again are not anywhere near the work load we do. If you want a social life, DO NOT get a job at currys. They will expect you to miss funerals, seeing family or even going on holiday just to work a shift at curry. Not many of the staff are happy mainly due to the above reasons. But it will never change. If you are getting grief of fellow colleagues, again, dont expect your managers or HR do to anything about it, they are more interested in how many warranties you sell or how much knowhow you got on a sale.
