Pros

You work with some good people

Cons

Low pay. encouraged to do whatever to get the SQ also known as forcing things you don't need which is all okay as long as watchdog don't find out......Again Middle management will step on anyone to get ahead and the politics would make your head spin . No ownership when things go wrong and like to cover up their dirty little secrets

Pros

There's a roof, and heating. They do pay you on time. There's free parking for employees. That's about all I can think of if I'm honest.

Cons

Pay is terrible, management couldn't care less as long as you force overpriced useless warranties on people. Most of the time key products are out of stock and you're supposed to cross sell to things with greater margin. It's pretty much like hell.

Pros

Guaranteed basic salary, other engineers are great work with.

Cons

Constant pay queries of anything above basic salary; overtime is based over an 8 week period so for 7 weeks you are worked like a dog and the last week you are given days off because there is 'no work' or are going through a 'quiet patch'. Spares are ordered via TSO's, some of which have very limited knowledge and wrong parts get ordered but it's your fault not theirs. And if you ever get stuck on a job and need help the TSO's usual response is 'try your best' or 'order a new pcb'. As an engineer you get put in difficult moral dilemmas by the company as you know what the company does sometimes is wrong yet you are the one who has to front it out. Very rarely get sent back to your own jobs so completion targets are a joke. Company sees the engineer as a scapegoat in any difficult situations.
