Pros

Quite interesting technology. Snacks and meals at the office.

Cons

Where do I even begin? I wish I would have taken some of the Glassdoor reviews more seriously before joining this sinking ship. I have worked for a quite a few software companies, and this is a complete disaster. They sweep shady behavior from senior management under the rug, such as (sexual) harassment and bullying of employees. Employees “joke about” getting fired, to hide their real fear of being chopped off. Any processes are a complete nightmare. You can only rely on the one or other good colleague who will help you - not because they have a good structure in place (try getting support from HR - it’s a joke, except for some hard working juniors). Speaking of juniors, it seems like a company strategy to hire “young and hungry” employees who are inexpensive and work them to the bones, but they bring little experience and have to learn on the job. Any senior person who’s been hired, has left/been fired after a short period of time, as this company is not open for constructive feedback or criticism. The management who have been around for longer are waiting for an exit and will not help and support in any way in fear of rocking the boat. Nobody cares about anyone in this company, senior execs will take no complaints seriously (although they are good at pretending like they do). I would give Contentsquare zero stars if that was an option. If you are serious about your career path and mental health - go somewhere else.

Managers are terrible in communication skills - cold stares and no emotion. No indication of what it takes to be a great leader...

Thanks for your feedback. Overall we are happy to see that our teams are very satisfied with their management. Based on our last engagement survey, 84% consider that their manager is a great role model for employees and 84% feel that their manager is the right person to manage them. However we understand that your experience of some managers' capabilities was disappointing to you and are very sorry to hear that. For sure, improvements can always be made. We are convinced that managers and leaders have a key role in driving, growing, inspiring our people and that it's not an easy job and can sometimes be even more challenging in a fast growing organization. That's why we will accelerate our investment in our management and leadership capabilities starting with an in-house Team that will develop robust Leadership programs and initiatives such as : Manager PlayBook, first time manager program or middle-managers role modeling boost while keeping on offering individual coaching when needed. We hope these efforts will set our leaders up for success and help deliver the best employee experience to our teams. In any case, we always invite our employees to reach out to their management or HR contact point if they are facing a specific issue so we can provide support François - Global Leadership Development Director
