Lack of transparency

Pros

- Flexible remote policy - Smart, kind and inspiring colleages (not top level management)

Cons

- No vision whatsoever, priorities change every trimester - one trimester a project is top urgency, the next it is completely scrapped - No transparency, trop management uses BS business lingo as reply to any feedback or demand for clarification on what the hell they're doing - A horryfing male to female ratio in top level roles - Huge turnover - Constant layoffs, no job security - Perks are ridiculous for a big tech company - A lot of roles are not needed, most people pretend to work and have meetings all the time to justify their existence, meetings where nothing gets done - If something was not resolved in a meeting, it never will be, no documentation, no followup, fake sense of urgency - An absolute clown of a CEO who imagines he's a DJ/MC at a small village wedding, I am embarrassed every time he speaks, as well as anyone C-level - If you're friends with managers or kiss their behind on an absolute poopshow they're creating and sinking the company, you might get ahead, otherwise you'll be gone in 18 months, either through a layoff or through quite firing - They can't retain clients and lie to them that AI is used in product

I will be able to write a book on how not to manage a company.

They absolutely destroyed Hotjar, which used to be one of the best tech companies to work for in Europe.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. Change is inherent in every evolving organization. Leadership shifts, while often challenging, also bring fresh perspectives and strategies that can drive growth. Best of luck for the future!

Pros

Nice offices in Paris Nice annual event

Cons

- Too "sales-oriented" and not very "product/tech-oriented". Salesmen want "sexy" stuff, so many poor choices are made with a negative impact on the product and the teams. Sales-managers behave like heroes (no surprise, the CEO is a salesman himself). - Incredible despise for clients, as if they were all deeply ignorant regarding data related subjects. Do not go there if honesty is a value to you. - The "start-up spirit" is far behind and it has become a big place with lots of politics to handle if you want to get a promotion. Really. - And last thing that is my inner personal feeling: day-to-day racisme and misogyny disguised in "jokes" made by many managers.

Thank you for your sharing your feedback. We are sorry that this is your point of view but we believe it is not the truth and want to reiterate that it is not the kind of company and work environment we tend to build. With ‘Product vision’ as one of the 7 axis on our Masterplan, it is a key investment area. When planning the roadmap, we consult our clients to see what their needs are, and keep this in line with our product investment. Moreover, in 2019 we plan to significantly grow the R&D teams. Finally, we encourage everyone to contribute to our Product vision by organizing an annual worldwide Hackathon for teams to come up with their most disruptive ideas to build CS future. It is correct that we have grown a lot very quickly are no longer a start-up, but we try to retain the spirit of a small team through social events (quarterly parties, Friday beer etc.). Concerning promotions, they are based on Performance and internal opportunities. Managers play a big role here by giving continuous feedback to their team members. We're currently building Career Paths for all jobs, which will help teams and managers identify opportunities for growth, which they will be able to discuss in weekly 1/1 or end of quarter reviews - it’s really important to us to help people grow individually as well as in their team. As for the racism and misogyny, we of course do not tolerate such behaviour and encourage you to alert HR to be able to act in case of established facts.
