Pros

Before the merge with content square, I would 100% that Hotjar is one of the best places to work on if not even the best.

Cons

1. No transparency anymore 2. lays off round 3. No perks and great culture 4. Ruin everything great that Hotjar had before 5. Forcing Hotjar people to leave 6. No good leadership at all

Pros

Great range of clients, relative freedom once you've passed probation, great stocked kitchen, some fun socials (including yearly kick-off)

Cons

- Popularity contest, all about presenteeism and personality rather than the quality of your work or reviews of your clients - Overworked and underpaid, and very transparent about that fact - Large pay disparity between colleagues of the same level - Just generally very toxic - Do not work here unless you're single, childless and have plenty of time on your hands

Pros

The engineering team is very skillfull

Cons

The company has really gone nuts, they went into a path of hyper growth, recruited thousands of people, and with the current economical context their sales went downhill. So what solution did they chose? fire as much as they can. In israel, 40% of the R&D department got fired, very good and skillfull people, they just paid the price of the bad management and business decisions. They are not hiring anyway, and I don't think they will be hiring anytime soon, but this is a very unpredictible company, don't plan your future with it, maybe they don't even have a future for themselves.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. As part of our efforts to make our organization more competitive and resilient in the long term, we have launched a strategic restructuring initiative and took the painful step of reducing our workforce — a decision that was not taken lightly. We want to express sincere gratitude for your contributions during your 6 years at Contentsquare, and wish you the very best in your future endeavors.
