Pros

The product itself lured me in.

Cons

This unprofitable company is sinking in the US, as non-US based executives continue not to acknowledge the vastly different market landscape, and our middle management’s mediocrity and tendency to harrass their employees. They target those who self-advocate, push for resourcing they are denied on behalf of clients, and raise the hard questions they don’t have answers to. You will be labeled a problem. People in positions of power are rewarded for managing upward and not rocking the boat as opposed to providing healthy atmospheres by advocating for their teams. Several people through the power of favoritism or their ol’ Clicktale days status, are untouchable, manipulative bullies. Cross them and you’re gone. The list of people being pushed out under questionable ‘performance issues’ is growing along with miscalculated payouts. Seems like more layoffs are coming or the plan is to incrementally downsize via PIPs to preserve revenue and draw less negative attention. The layoffs a couple weeks ago “weren’t layoffs, but performance related”… of course they were with the quotas given to your US Sales team. After the February mass layoffs with a bleak forecast, hordes of my peers provided feedback to help the business. Much of it was ignored or resolved at the surface level. It’s a shame how they are treating the remaining US team. It makes it easy to predict what’s to come. Working here has been an unforgettable lesson on how to vet out a potential employer better.

Dirty culture. Underpaid minorities.

Pros

If you are trying to get into tech and willing to put up with a lot in order to get a foot in the door, go for it. Otherwise, stay away.

Cons

Women (especially minorities) are paid less than men. Bringing it up leads to management and the CEO lying and making false promises. People who are not productive are kept on, and people who are have to work double. Yes, some customers are impressive but it doesn't change the fact that employees are mistreated, and the culture is rotten.

There are more than 25 different nationalities working at CS out of 330 people. Diversity is one our main strengths and in no way are people discriminated against - uniqueness is celebrated as one of our company values. Salary is decided in line with market price, and people are paid in accordance with their level of seniority and expertise. The issue of wage equality was addressed 5 months ago during Let's Talk, where people ask the management team questions (in total confidentiality) to answer in front of the entire team. During the meeting, we showed data proving equality of pay between men and women for the same position. The only gaps identified in our analysis (0-5% for the same position, actually slightly in favour of women) were based on level of seniority or performance in the job. We are sorry that you felt that management didn't listen to advice, however our last employee survey showed that 93% of people feel that they can raise their voice within the team. We are very open to feedback and continuously encourage people to tackle issues and concerns as it is important to us that points of frustration are tackled in due time, and we have a very accessible management team that you can always contact. Moreover, we disagree that people are mistreated and that culture is rotten; the survey also showed an 89% satisfaction rate with employee experience at CS, and we have since put in place an employee-led culture crew with a dedicated budget to strengthen happiness at work through culture initiatives. Last but not least, we just hired a people manager in the US who will be another asset in building proximity and support with our teams. We wish you all the best in the future.

Pros

Good team spirit within the team and many team building events

Cons

Management is useless with no clear vision and staff is treated very badly. Do not believe the forced good reviews on the site. They have been written as a fear tactic as HR team force people to write them.

Thank you for your feedback, we regret to hear about your experience of Contentsquare. Glassdoor is an anonymous platform so we have no way of knowing who has posted comments or not, or who has posted what - so employees are free to post whatever they please (or not post at all!) By no means are employees forced. That said, we of course encourage employees to share their experience, as we feel that it is important to give a genuine vision of who we are and what we do. Concerning bad treatment of staff, the happiness of our employees is a top priority, and we are proud to have recorded a 90% employee satisfaction rate with experience at Contentsquare in H1 2018, as evidenced in the last pulse survey. We continue to listen to our employees through regular pulse surveys so that we can respond to their wants and needs, as well as weekly manager 1:1s, and quarterly performance reviews in which employees are asked to give feedback on how they feel their manager could improve. Finally, our vision is defined and re-evaluated regularly in our Masterplan - every 6 months we review the short, mid, and long term vision, and define the objectives and key results we need to achieve our vision.
