Bad decisions are made with no explanation, and very low morale

Pros

The product is very interesting, but lacks ease of use. Basically, if you take the time to learn the product, you will get super far. Great flexibility when it comes to PTO, good benefits.

Cons

Salary (non)Transparency: The company doesn't seem to appreciate talented and well-performing people when it comes to salary. Geographical location should also be a factor to be considered with pay, but that doesn't seem to be the case, specifically in the US. This leads to people being unmotivated and wanting to leave. The company needs to find a way to retain good people, and this a good way to do so. Bumpy after acquisition: Started with the massive layoffs once acquisition happened. Then, so many of us were left in an unclear role or path for about 2 months. People are unhappy: After the acquisition happened, things have gone downhill. People are not happy with their job, most of us overworked. Feels like every week we lose several people. So many talented (and tenured) people are leaving the company, and leadership seems to be doing nothing to amend this.

Thank you for your review. Indeed, we did make the tough decision to reduce our workforce back in January, however, the RIF was a strategic move aimed at ensuring the company’s sustainability and long-term financial health. Regarding salaries, while one of the acquired companies had transparency, Contentsquare did not. As we work on establishing visible company salary bands, we are committed to providing all employees with current salary information to ensure openness and fairness throughout the organization. We believe in transparency and are committed to taking all feedback seriously. If you have any suggestions or concerns that you'd like to discuss directly, please feel free to reach out to your People Business Partner or submit anonymously through our relevant feedback channels.

Pros

Depending on your location, you may have an opportunity to work with some great people. Love my team. Base pay is good. Great health insurance.

Cons

Zero onboarding, inaccurate info given during interview re: quota attainment, no job security or clear direction from upper management. Sales team members are expected to meet the same quota every month regardless of external factors (e.g., time of year, book of business, location of events vs. location of accounts, holidays, etc.). Your success hinges on the territory you're assigned to, and competitions between sales teams are frequent, resulting in a lot of gatekeeping versus sharing of useful information. Zero diversity. You can count the number of women in sales in the US on one hand and I believe there is one openly LGBTQIA+ individual at the entire company. You are only allowed ONE week of remote work per year, so do not expect any flexibility if you are in a hybrid office unless you are using approved PTO. Note that your monthly quota does not change when you take PTO, so you will be penalized if you do not hit your numbers for the month.

Thank you for the review and advice. Regarding onboarding, we will pass on your feedback to the team which is dedicated to ensuring a perfect integration for all new joiners. On the DEI topic, several teams are currently working on building a more diverse company through inclusive hiring practices, ensuring equitable pay and advancement for all team members, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture. Contentsquare employees are allowed up to 5 weeks (35 calendar days) of remote work from the location of their choice throughout the year. This is part of the Work from Anywhere Policy.

Pros

You do get to work on some interesting technology

Cons

They absorbed Hotjar and instead of integrating its unique and awesome culture, they discarded almost all of it Communication issues across the company chalked up to "I don't understand English well" Geo-based leave allowances justified in the name of "equality" Salary bands not transparent, some people get significantly different salaries depending on how much their leadership likes them
