Pros

Great Opportunity for entry level sales environment. The exposure can be a little stressful at the beginning but teaches you to overcome obstacles and objections, and shows you the importance of building relationships in the sales environment. Invaluable experience that will help moving forward.

Cons

Doesnt require much experience so youre surrounded by people who dont belong in sales. Company does NOT take care of their vehicles. At least not in San Diego. Make sure you get the service plan cuz youll need it.

Pros

Attempts to make workplace fun. No haggling on prices

Cons

Management does not live up to integrity espoused by Corporation. There are ongoing efforts to de-personalize the sales consultants. The corporation talks about promotional opportunities for employees and then hires from outside. Not truthful about earnings.

Pros

Great training process, great people, huge selection of inventory, large number of walk-through customers, very few slow days, good sales crm tools and the process for buying cars is easy albeit a bit flawed. It's a good entry-level job for the training and experience.

Cons

Rigid processes, employee feedback not always taken into consideration, pricing high and MaxCare no longer as good, sub-prime auto loans with very high interest rates, car hold policies, managers will pressure sales people to be pushy even if it means poorer customer service. Sales commission structure hadn't been increased in 10+ years, unless a manager is what you want to move into, not a lot of room for growth, lots of turnover, and favoritism is found in each department. Hard to request time off and schedule changes.
