Capco could be great

Pros

- Good culture and really nice people - Diversity - Flat hierarchy (you can approach anyone) - Office open days with free food and beverages

Cons

- Most projects are mundane, unless you want to be a glorified scrum master - You cant get a significant pay increase without being promoted - Promotions are based on internal politics and personal brand. A really happy client will not translate into a promotion. - Bonuses are really low and are not worth the extra time spent doing "community work" - Laptops and office monitors are from the stone-age. - HR is non-existent - High turnover of top talent

Thank you for your review and we are pleased to hear that you enjoy many aspects of working at Capco. We strongly recommend that you reach out to the Resourcing team or a member of the Leadership team to discuss the project opportunities which are available to you. As presented at the recent Town Hall, there is a wide variety of interesting work available across a portfolio of clients. Promotions are based on evidence of sustained performance at the next level alongside a number of other factors. Performance reviews take into account feedback from a variety of stakeholders to ensure a fair process. As we approach the year-end review process, we would encourage you to take advantage of any HR briefing sessions or reach out directly to learn more about the process. Likewise if you wish to discuss the technology available in the office, please reach out to the IT team or a member of the Facilities team.

We are very disappointed to read your review and would like to address some of the points raised. It is correct to say that we have hired a large number of new colleagues this year as Capco continues to grow, however this has not limited career opportunities and we continue to run two review and promotion cycles per year. In fact, in the last promotion cycle, we promoted the largest number of employees in the UK to date. There are a number of different discussions and factors, which all feed into the final decision on promotions, but ultimately ensuring we promote the right people with demonstrated performance at the next level is the priority. Regarding your comments on vacation leave, UK employees are able to buy and sell holiday and we offer enhanced parental leave policies. We regularly benchmark all our benefits in the market to ensure that what we offer is competitive and meets the needs of our people. There are lots of opportunities to hear from the global and local leadership teams, whether through Town Hall events or domain/community events. This year we held 22 Open Days across the UK to give employees an opportunity to hear what is happening across our different domains, capabilities and Affinity groups and to connect in person with leaders and colleagues. These were extremely well attended and we have received very positive feedback. These were introduced post the pandemic and due to their popularity, have become a regular fixture on the calendar. The nature of consulting means that sometimes employees may spend time on the bench in between projects based on client demand. We have a dedicated Resourcing team who manage project assignments and employees on the bench assist with business-related tasks based on current business needs. Coaching is a key part of the Capco culture and support structure. All new Coaches are required to complete training as you state and if someone would like to change Coach or take on more Protege's they should raise this with their HR Business Partner who will be happy to help. If you are still with the firm, then we would strongly encourage you to reach out to our UK HR Lead, Amy Clark or your HR Business Partner for a discussion.
