Pros

Free soft drinks, easy to take off a sick day

Cons

- When there is no projects, it is somehow the fault of the consultant, when it should fall on account leads. - You are encouraged to reach out to account managers, who then complain when you do. - Pipeline is a joke, they have nothing - You cannot trust a number of senior people, they are all cowards and really need to look at themselves and take the blame for the failure of the project .

We are disappointed to read your experience of Capco. The firm has a strong portfolio of clients, including long term and new clients. We encourage you to connect with your coach, HR Business Partner or the Resourcing team if you need additional support with projects. You can also hear the latest business update at the upcoming UK All-Hands call.

Pros

Some good people and made lifelong friends.

Cons

This firm used to promote a 'CATO Family' ethos - things drastically changed. You're expected to contribute not just with your client work but internal activities that are classed as 'Community work'. If you don't contribute enough then you're penalized in a strange performance review process where a 'coach' has to fight your corner for a rating. Bad coach? Tough, you'll just get a lower rating when everyone pitches. Too many 'seniors' who talk the talk and love to micro manage. If you're with one of these on a project you better hope it's a short engagement. Lay offs are rife here, being laid off isn't a issue as in the industry it can happen. But how this firm handles this is a horrible experience when everyone works so hard and contributes. You're pulled into a call unexpectedly told you're getting laid off, the call ends and within 30 mins you're access to everything is revoked. Don't expect time to say goodbye and no thank you for the hard work.

We are sorry to read your feedback and of your experience at Capco. We are committed to a collaborative, supportive and inclusive culture. Colleagues can do Community work which allows individuals to develop their skills, build their internal network, and get involved in areas of the business they are interested in, or passionate about. Those who make a positive impact via Community work are rewarded for this, however an individual’s main assessment is based on their Core performance; how they perform and deliver in their day-to-day role. The annual review process includes feedback from a variety of stakeholders as well as the individual’s manager to ensure a fair and balanced process. Many businesses, including other consulting firms and financial services companies, are facing challenges in the current economic climate. As a result, we have made a limited number of layoffs in Canada. As a business, we do not take these decisions lightly, but we took these steps to fortify our business, and are managing these as sensitively as possible. Our leadership team, including our new Managing Partner in Canada, are seasoned at leading businesses through such periods of change and are focused on successfully navigating the current environment while being mindful of people impacted by these decisions. Thank you for the contribution you made to Capco.

Pros

- The remuneration package is good - They are willing to pay high salary - Medical fully covered employee and dependants - 13th month salary - Flexible working arrangement (very flexible for those who got assigned to a project)

Cons

- Lack of opportunities within the company as in no projects - Though you are hired permanently by Capco, you can be terminated anytime if you bring no money to the company. How to bring money in? You have to be assigned to a project. - Job security 👎 - Career growth can be stagnant - Performance review not transparent
