Pros

They have great benefits but everyone inside who has been there for more than a year become like part of a sect. The employees are scared about management and afraid to speak up about their negative experience.

Cons

ADP will let you go and talk crap about you to other employers. Regardless what HR says about just reporting dates to others they still talk crap about you behind your back. There are notes that HR keep in the system which the service line usually in India has access to and they just repeat what they see. I had to send them a cease and desist letter.

Pros

The actual work, developing solutions for small business clients needs as it relates to payroll and hcm.

Cons

The toxic political structure and relationship between Product leaders and everyone else (Engineering, Ops, Service, etc.). Get ready for tons of back door channeling, undermining, and secret alliances… They also claim to care about diversity, but during the 8 years I spent their … I spent it largely overlooked… and under appreciated… I’m Latino, and there were almost zero black and Latino associates on the tech side (GPT). There were a few while I was there.. all were incredible talents.. and they all had trouble moving up in the organization… we all eventually had to leave to get promoted… Meanwhile, many non-diverse candidates were brought in to lead or were swiftly promoted multiple levels within 3 years time… Many women were overlooked as well. I even participated in an interview panel where we met with a very qualified black man… and a senior leader passed, despite my feedback, and said “he just wouldn’t fit in here” !!! They’ve already picked their leaders… and all they will do is shuffle them around from bu to bu … Also, the only diversity they will consider is over in Georgia… NJ is increasingly non-diverse. Finally… the HR recruiting staff is the worst… they “ghost” candidates frequently… and do not represent the best in breed in terms of talent acquisition and recruitment professionals.

Pros

Diverse, Free Meals & Snacks, Updated Technology, Nice Building

Cons

Poor Training, I accepted this position entry level with no experience in payroll, hr, or tax & banking. Training was cut from 8 weeks into 2 weeks. This information was not communicated with my specific new hire group until after we started. The training was not hands on 8 hrs sitting in front of a computer with at least 30 other new hires from different states via WebEx. The training is not designed to accommodate different learning styles. We were assigned clients before we even completed training. We were advised by the Vice President the reasoning for our short training was due to year end “busy season” and to sum it up the company had an overwhelming number of new clients looking to begin processing with ADP at the beginning of a new quarter. Depending on who your manager is they may or may not have the proper training to provide you with the proper guidance when you are in need of help instead you are asked to rely on your peers or other veteran employees who have their own clients and are already overworked. For the strenuous workload the pay is not enough. The company is constantly handing out snacks and free food to make it seem as if they care because they know we are being overworked. There is a huge disconnect between the sales department and the implementation department therefore you are constantly being questioned/ hassled by the sales department with questions because their commission weighs heavily on the success of the implementation project. Constant emails, and meetings. No work/life balance. You are constantly being told to “fake it till you make it”. During my now 2 months of employment I have seen 3 employees resign all due to stress . High turnover. Short lunch breaks (30 mins). Terrible parking structure. There is a lot of favoritism.
