Pros

1. Pay is pretty good for an entry-level position 2. Hybrid-work environment 3. Most managers are very supportive and willing to help out 4. Decent benefits 5. Work-from-home equipment provided 6. Interesting work culture

Cons

1. Payroll sucks...it just sucks (unless you REALLY love numbers and tax laws). 2. Initial training is lacking in substance and doesn't really prepare you for the true nature of the job. 3. Dealing with MANY clients who are unhappy due to incompetent Account Managers (see point #2). 4. Position can often feel like a glorified Customer Service Representative role. 5. New Account Managers often expected to juggle 40 or more clients at a time. 6. Work feels rather chaotic due to having to juggle: a) Angry client emails b) Taking incoming calls from upset clients c) Numerous "pings/messages/emails" from coworkers who are dealing with your upset clients and/or want to put the work back onto you d) Working with other departments can be quite frustrating (see point c) d) Working through client service request tickets that you have little training on how to handle let alone the right knowledge e) Expected to be constantly "on" and waiting for inbound calls f) Dealing with not only your own upset clients, but other Account Managers' clients (hint: they're probably upset in some way too) g) Schedule and attend both internal and external client meetings (who are probably upset by the way) can ALL make the job feel overwhelming.

Pros

Big company with opportunities, flexible working environments. Company is well known/stable.

Cons

Believe every review you see on here about SBS sales. What used to be a great place to work is now incredibly toxic and high pressure nationwide. Quota attainment is nearly impossible when your deals can get snatched up by inside sales because the company never ever assigns local reps to people in your area that call in for services. Let’s also talk about the “partners” you will get to sell with, or should I say - treat you like crap. You will be squeezed for every penny and you will use and abuse your clients until you have every penny out of them. Management will micro manage you to the point of giving activity updates daily, you will be expected to be in the office for a 30 minute training to make a VP feel better about their power over you. ADP is a “what have you done for me lately” culture in every SBS office. Before you start here, have a therapist, but you won’t be able to afford one on their salary. Even if you’re at 100% as a DM don’t expect nothing more than 75k.

Pros

My coworkers are pretty relaxed and pleasant to be around

Cons

I left ADP because it was the most deceitful company i have ever worked for. If you need to lie to candidates to get them to work for the company, then that means the problem is the work and culture. First lied about hybrid schedule. In office 4 times a week. Just barley can claim hybrid. Lied about office location. My commute ended up being 1 hour 10 minute drive one way because i was told i would be reporting to a closer offfice but that was not true. Terrible training and on boarding. National training did not match up to local office training. was so confused at how they wanted me to sell. Manager was very toxic and volatile and could never give constructive feed back on my actual work. But loads of comments on my appearance. Upper management so stuck in the old ADP way of selling and did not like any feedback or collaboration. Upper management would think of initiatives and just expected everyone to execute. So much for claiming "collaboration and cross functional work environment" during interviewing. Fear based and negative reenforcement work environment
