Pros

If you believe in client service, ADP may be the company for you. They are revamping the service model to a team approach - which should lead to a collaborative experience for employees. You can usually find a good work-life balance (although that may depend on role) - with the flexibility to work from home when you need to, e.g. for doctor appt's etc. However, they are starting to pull back on regular work-from-home arrangements.

Cons

In the 15+ years I worked at ADP they routinely implemented RIFs only to turn around 6 months later and start rehiring again. I always believed this was done for accounting purposes, not bone fide business reasons. In 2017, ADP is undergoing extensive lay-offs, closing offices around the country, and adding new, or building up existing hubs in Norfolk, Orlando, El Paso, Tempe, Alpharetta, and Elk Grove - and offering relocation to only a relatively small number of affected employees. ADP has no program or means to assist laid off employees find another job within the company - its all up to the affected employee. Nor are affected employees given any additional consideration in finding another position. I've seen this over and over again over many years and many RIFs. Also, there is a lot of turnover in senior leadership positions. It seems, a leader comes in, sets a direction and before the vision can come to life, the leader leaves, another comes in and another direction is taken.

Pros

Free coffee, decent benefits (401K, PTO, Employee discounts)

Cons

Understaffed, little to no recognition for your work, your voice is not heard, takes a long time to advance (minimum is 18 months), hard to advance into a job you want.

Pros

A good company for recent graduates. You'll learn a lot, the training is great.

Cons

No work life balance. Hours are long and you often take work home. Depending on what business unit you may not be able to take vacation during annual enrollment and year end. They are opening new locations in low coast areas but are laying off senior employees in high cost regions. There is no loyalty. My advice would be to work there to get experience and then find another job at a different company that values its employees.
