I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart (Bentonville, AR) in Oct 2015
Interview
I was contacted by a Walmart recruiter, who setup an video interview. Walmart postponed the first interview for a few days because some of the people could not make the time set forth. The interview was with 3 Walmart representatives. They asked basic questions about how I had handled certain situations in the past.

The questions were about how I would handle the situations they asked about from my past experience. There was one question that I was not sure how to answer. It was an ethics question. They asked this: "The company you work for has a policy that employees are not allowed to accept gifts. One of your company's clients is throwing a party and you are invited. What do you do?

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Walmart (Bentonville, AR) in Feb 2012
Interview
I knew the director prior to my employment with WM. In fact I was asked to relocate prior to applying, so my interview was a difference from the norm. WM flew me in and provided room and board (and car) for a series of one on ones. The only odd thing about the process, was I was finally informed of the 45 hour work week by the V.P. in my last one on one interview.
