I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2009
Interview
Targets phone interview was a typical behavioral interview. They asked you everything from name a time where you had a situation in class and how did you over come that? Did a group member ever slack or not pull his/her share of the weight and how did you attend to that situation? What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Then you either get offered a day long interview or you are asked to take a behavioral/personality test which is 200 questions long.
I applied through college or university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Target in Feb 2010
Interview
Very scripted... directly followed a set of interviews with no deviations that I could see. Followed somewhat of a good cop/bad cop routine. One interviewer seemed to want to get to know me while the other simply jotted down notes. The questions consisted mainly of behavioral/situational scenarios, i.e. "When was the last time you mentored somebody, and what was the result?"
