I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Lush (Bristol, Angleterre) in Oct 2018
Interview
I was initially invited over for a Lush trial shift in where they told me what they expect of their employees in the store. I was also given a tour and was then required to act as a working employee for 45 minutes straight after the tour. This was just to get a gist of how I interact with customers and how I react with the store environment. Subsequently, I was called for an interview after passing the Lush trial shift. This was unbelievably brief, to the point it was laughable. However, it wasn't unnecessarily short. They asked essential questions.. I guess? But they weren't useless. I felt they got what they needed to know
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lush (Liverpool, Angleterre) in Aug 2018
Interview
Group interview with around 30 people. We were split into teams and sent around to complete different tasks including games to ask open ended questions (not even the manager running the task could provide us with examples). One on one interviews, although the group interview was structured so poorly that only a handful of people were interviewed by the general manager.
Setting up a lush display as a team, again a complete and utter disaster as they design the interview to be the hunger games of interviews. It’s a mentality of “look at me, look at me” making it almost impossible to collaborate effectively.
A three minute pitch “what magic can you bring to lush stores” - timed by a manager.
Finally a demonstration as to how to massage a customer. Overseen by two managers who paid absolutely no attention and obviously just wanted to go home.

Question 1
If we were to ask your friends to describe you in three words what words would they be?

Interview
Straightforward interview, followed by the floor trial . You are asked to promote and showcase products on the spot. The staff was nice and welcoming, however the manager required to push the clients too much. Prior knowledge of products is a must.
