I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at CarMax
Interview
Applied online. Was called for phone interview, then had an additional three interviews at the carmax location around 9am with several hiring managers. They ask pre screen questions during the phone interview and ask almost the same exact questions at the location which seems strange.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic things like why do you want to work here and what would a former supervisor say about you if we called them. The interview process is way too long for no more than they are offering for this position ($9.50 and $10.50 for second shift). I was declined the job by email and didn't even receive a phone call so that should tell you what to expect if you do get hired here so best of luck. The job was described as nothing short of hectic.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CarMax (Buena Park, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
i was interviewed by 4 people and they asked a series of questions any they werent that hard, they asked about past ways of handling situations and things of that nature and they look for personality and someone that is going to take care of people while also selling.. they also asked me to do a walk around on a car and explain features. overall it was an easy interview because of my background, but for someone that doesnt have the background, it may be a little bit tougher
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CarMax
Interview
Multiple rounds via phone and in person. Applied online. They ask the same type of questions differently to get to know you better. Then you receive a call from a sales manager to see how you sound on the phone. Then if you pass that part you will be invited in for a face to face interview. And if you pass that part, then you have a chance to get through.
