Interview
apply online, receive a phone interview, then an in-store interview with a sales manager. afterwards, there is a roleplay where you will pretend to be a sales consultant and you will have to sell a car to an employee who is pretending to be a customer while a manager watches you and takes notes. afterwards there is another interview similar to the first but with just a different manager
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time where you made a recommendation to someone, they objected, and you overcame the objection and persuaded them to take your recommendation
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at CarMax (Omaha, NE) in Oct 2013
Interview
They have a Management Assistant at the store you apply through call you and set up a phone interview with one of the sales managers if you make there initial review. You have your phone interview, and if they like what they see/hear they will have the Management assistant set up a interview time with you. Plan at least 2 hours minimum. They are pretty serious with their hiring and throughly interview their applicants. You will sit with one person who will speak with you and ask you questions, if you move on you speak with 2 more people who have a conversation and ask more deeper questions. And if the GM is available and they feel good about you, he/she will interview you also and if he/she likes you and so on they typically hire on the spot but sometimes don't offer for a day or two after the interview.
