Pros

- Salary is really good especially if you do weekends and night shifts - Friendly and helpful colleagues

Cons

- No way of promoting (Promotions and salary boosts are rigged) - New managers are hired not based on skill, but based on family ties to current senior managers. - Managers are hired externally then placed in 3 months of training instead of hiring customer support representatives which have years of experience. - Since CO19 and WFH, the company no longer cares for its employees. - After training, they will only see statistics and not humans. - You will always be the one to get the blame for anything. Get ready for everyone to shout at you while taking calls. - Yardi clearly states in training you should always apologize even if it has nothing to do with you. You take the blame.

Though your experiences are vastly different from what we hear from other Customer Service Representatives at Yardi, we take concerns like this seriously and value your feedback. At Yardi we believe in promoting from within, and our promotions happen consistently through the company. While we are a family-friendly company, all advancement opportunities are based solely on proven performance metrics and subject matter knowledge. At Yardi, our core values focus on integrity, inclusion, and respect in the workplace, and we have no tolerance for any form of misconduct or unprofessional behavior. We encourage employees to regularly connect with their managers and to let leadership know when additional support is needed for client requests or with prioritizing deliverables. We highly encourage anyone with concerns of this nature or those who feels negatively impacted by something to schedule time to meet with the VP of HR to further discuss. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we wish you all the best in the future.

Pros

They helped me get into my first software engineering role.

Cons

They can make you work long hours and may not compensate appropriately/fairly. They are not a progressive company. You can expect your hours of grinding to go unnoticed and unappreciated.

Pros

Co-workers and clients were great. I made some long time friends.

Cons

Managers and team leads: Micro management. They track when you scan your card to open a door. 5 minutes late? You're in trouble. But it doesn't matter how often you work late or skip lunch because you're so busy. In the Toronto office in 2015 you would go to the lunch room every day and meet people of all ages. From countries all over the world. It was really nice and seemed like a place that celebrated diversity. By 2019 - 2021 most of the older people had been laid off or made so miserable they quit. Yardi started hiring new college graduates, with little or no experience, for account manager roles at a low salary. Most, if not all were people that orinated from India. They also frequently transferred staff from the Pune office. And recruited new graduates from Ryerson University om a regular basis. All of Indian decent. TLDR Racism and ageism. I'm in touch with some people that still work there. It's getting worse all the time. If you are over 30 and not originally from India I encourage you to update your resume and move on. If they give you an offer and you're desperate, take it, it's a little better than Walmart! At least they give you free coffee. Or they did. They probably took that away too.

Your experience is vastly different from what we hear from other employees in our Toronto location. We do not track badge swiping and most employees are enjoying a flexible hybrid work from wherever they feel most productive environment. At Yardi, we foster a workplace culture that welcomes and elevates each individual, and our employee demographics reflect this (as we have folks of varying ages, genders, and backgrounds in roles that range from entry level positions to Leadership positions). We often see employees growing in their Yardi roles and enjoying Yardi careers for decades, and we are proud to share that we never furloughed or laid employees off before, during or after the pandemic. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we hope you found a new position that better fits your needs.
