Pros

Pros: PTO, Profit Sharing, Community Involvement.

Cons

*There is a not a review process in place for employees to review their managers or Team Leads. There are little opportunities for advancement beyond Technical Account Management. *There is not a internal process to apply for jobs within the company and little support from Yardi Recruiters when looking for an internal position. *When I started Yardi, I never felt like a number even though the company was large. The Cleveland office used to be a place where I felt at home and welcomed. Now, I feel like a number punching a time clock. Overall this has been the biggest disappointment of my career.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Readers of Glassdoor will recognize that your experience at the Cleveland Office is quite different from that of other employees who have posted. At Yardi, we offer generous Annual leave and paid holidays throughout the year to promote personal well-being, and strongly encourage employees to use PTO and leave for positive work life balance and wellness. Our robust benefit plan (which is offered at no additional cost to our employees) includes an Employee Assistance Program that offers assistance with mental health challenges, as well as a large variety of other topics to help support work/life balance. As we firmly believe in our motto of “taking care of our employees,” concerns like this are taken very seriously. We genuinely encourage anyone who feels negatively impacted by something to schedule time with the VP of Human Resources to further discuss. We wish you were a happier employee and wish you all the best in your future.

Pros

Absolutely nothing except the fact that you have a job. My mental health became 20x better ever since I left the company. The company's standard response to negative reviews is to claim that individual experiences vary widely. However, this approach ignores the underlying issues highlighted by employees. Instead, management should actively engage with negative feedback, identify recurring concerns, and take proactive steps to address them. By acknowledging and resolving these issues, the company can foster a more positive work environment and improve employee satisfaction.

Cons

Poor management and team leads foster a toxic work environment rife with politics and micromanagement. There is an overwhelming lack of work-life balance, with employees expected to take on additional tasks beyond their job descriptions, even after completing their own work. Micromanagement is rampant, with managers frequently requesting updates every hour and expecting constant progress reports throughout the day. The absence of a structured stand-up meeting further exacerbates the issue, as employees are constantly interrupted to provide updates, disrupting workflow and productivity. Staying late at work is not only encouraged but often necessary to keep up with the excessive demands and constant monitoring. Leave requests are routinely denied without valid reasons, forcing employees to resort to fabricating sick excuses to get approval. The code quality suffers due to the chaotic work environment, with no adherence to proper coding standards or structure. Team leads lack proficiency in technology and provide minimal guidance, leading to increased reliance on other teams for assistance, which further consumes time and resources. Despite the intense workload and micromanagement, employees are kept uninformed about the bonus system, only discovering its existence through other team leads. Overall, the company's culture of micromanagement, lack of work-life balance, and poor communication create a hostile and demoralizing atmosphere for employees, hindering productivity and professional growth.
