Pros

-Great benefits -TLs and below were awesome people and very supportive

Cons

-It was a great job in the beginning, but once the reorganization happened in late 2023, the entire company culture changed for the worse -New management after the re-org is completely lost and have taken on a rigid, micromanaging approach with employees -if you ask any questions or voice any concerns about restructure or new products, they will basically tell you it’s inappropriate and not your place -new products constantly being released (and fixed at the same time) with old products sunsetting and you are left to figure it out along with the clients. -Anant Yardi is one of the most humble CEOs I have known but him starting to step back closer to retirement has caused the management to be money first to the point the employees are an afterthought -the annual raises really took a hit after the ‘inflation bonus’ and buying a bankrupt WeWork

We truly care about your feedback and appreciate hearing from you though some of your experiences and observations are vastly different from what we hear from our talented Technical Account Managers worldwide. We take pride in our caring, respectful, and transparent culture and encourage anyone who feels negatively impacted to schedule time with Human Resources to further discuss. While we are sorry you weren’t a happier employee, we genuinely wish you all the best going forward.

Pros

Yardi was a good company for those looking to start their career in proptech. The corporate training program is solid, and they give you plenty of responsibility early on, which helps you learn quickly. The industry is interesting, and the products are widely used in real estate. Coworkers are supportive and collaborative, making for a positive work environment.

Cons

Besides the below market value compensation and abysmal yearly bonus. Toxic Management and Retaliatory Culture Management operates with passive-aggressive tactics, and favoritism is rampant—certain employees receive preferential treatment for characteristics unrelated to merit. I’ll just leave it at that… Frequent corporate restructurings mean your team and job responsibilities can change overnight with no notice. The issues stem from the top down. Speaking up to HR in hopes of improving conditions only makes you a target. Retaliation is real, and management makes it clear they don’t welcome feedback. I was personally told by a manager after contacting HR, “I didn’t know we hired losers here who go to HR.” That alone speaks volumes. If you value stability and a professional work environment, look elsewhere. Oh and some of the nepotism hires from the CEO are just plain atrocious.

Though your experiences are vastly different from what we hear from other employees at Yardi, we take concerns like this seriously and value your feedback. At Yardi, our core values focus on integrity, inclusion, and professionalism in the workplace, and we have no tolerance for discrimination, misconduct, or any form of retaliatory behavior. While we are a family-friendly company, all advancement opportunities are based solely on proven performance metrics and subject matter knowledge. We highly encourage anyone with concerns of this nature or those who feel negatively impacted by something to schedule time to meet with any member of the HR management team or our VP of Human Resources to further discuss and give us an opportunity to help.

Pros

Good benefits, especially health insurance

Cons

Terrible micromanagement, unrealistic expectations, lack of upward mobility, poor work life balance, average pay. They lie about all of these things upon interview, but you’re expected to work overtime (on salary) to meet their ever growing metrics. Every minute of the day has to be accounted for. I’ve had to work through my lunch break for a year straight. Poor documentation on software leads to difficulty providing correct answers to clients. No time to learn or improve due to constantly increasing metrics. I’m sure other teams might be ok, but the Breeze team is the most over-worked team in the company. It’s also not technical support based like the job title indicates. It’s accounting and customer support. Chats/phones mainly. The first year I was here was great, the next couple of years have whole teams wanting to quit from the stress. The company used to be about quality of service to clients, now it’s only about quantity of service. “How many clients can you assist a day.” They claim they’ve never done layoffs, but they silently fire people frequently so they can keep that claim.

At Yardi we care deeply for the wellbeing and success of each employe, and we find it surprising that you do not feel more comfortable sharing your concerns directly with senior management or with Human Resources after being with our Denver location for 4 years. Our leaders strive to provide clear and attainable goals and metrics to their teams, and employees are encouraged to connect with their managers to discuss their deliverables and any additional support they may need. Time spent supporting clients is logged so we can ensure that our clients’ needs are being met and that employees can best prioritize their deliverables on well-staffed teams. Logged time includes training, peer support, as well as personal time. Employee happiness and positive work- life balance are very important to us and while we have experienced some recent reorganization last year in our Breeze teams, it would be extremely unusual for anyone in the company to be asked to work such long days. When it comes to growth and career path options, we know that providing opportunities for training, learning, and advancement are critical for employee happiness and success. Yardi offers resources such as a tuition reimbursement programs, role specific workshops, and company conferences, so our employees can continuously grow as they advance in their careers. We have zero tolerance for discrimination or misconduct of any kind, and highly encourage anyone with a concern to schedule time to meet with any member of the HR management team or the VP of HR to further discuss.
