Pros

Great benefits Coworkers are nice

Cons

Hispanics do not get promoted beyond a team leader. they promote new people, and any one else before a Hispanic. Looked in all the departments and it’s a trend. There isn’t one Hispanic Sr. Manager in the corporate office. Indian, white and African American are favored in the corporate departments, like payroll, legal compliance, facilities and HR. They only hire and promote their own family. I recommend that you try another company if your goal is to move up the corporate latter. You will soon realize their culture is fake. If you meet your goals you will be rewarded with more work. Hybrid schedule is joke. Raises are mediocre at best.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad to hear that you enjoy our benefit plans and your coworkers. We take your comments seriously and while not perfect, we strive to offer an inclusive and welcoming culture, and our employee demographics companywide reflect diversity and inclusion (as we have folks of varying ages, genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds in roles that range from entry level positions to Senior Leadership roles). We value developing and mentoring each of our employees so they can enjoy fruitful Yardi careers, and we offer many opportunities for training, annual tuition reimbursement and continued growth company wide. While we are a family-friendly company, we are proud to share that all advancement opportunities are based solely on proven performance metrics and subject matter knowledge. At Yardi, we have zero tolerance for discrimination or misconduct of any kind, and highly encourage anyone with a concern to schedule time to meet with the VP of HR to further discuss.

Pros

The company claims to offer excellent career opportunities. However, these opportunities seem to materialize only for the Friends and Family network, which is unfortunate for the majority of hard-working and deserving employees. The HR team is adept at promoting the company's mantra: 'kindness, support, respect, inclusion, and transparency'. However, this often feels more like a well-rehearsed slogan than a lived reality. This incongruity between what is preached and what is practiced may leave some employees feeling disillusioned.

Cons

During my tenure at Yardi Systems, I encountered a range of issues that indicate a deep-seated problem in the company's culture. Despite the HR department's assertion that the workplace culture is rooted in kindness, support, respect, inclusivity, and transparency, my experience has been far from it. I have noticed a worrying tendency for management to place family members in key positions. This has fostered an environment of nepotism and favoritism, thereby stifling genuine career advancement opportunities for other dedicated employees. Moreover, it has led to a systemic bias in hiring practices, where qualified candidates often face unusually prolonged processes while preference seems to be given to candidates with personal connections within the company. During my time at Yardi Systems, I was consistently subjected to harassment and belittlement by the leadership. This involved unfair workload distribution, regular derogatory remarks about my work and capability, and unwarranted negative commentary about me among the team. When I attempted to address these issues, I was met with retaliation rather than understanding and resolution. Unfortunately, I also experienced discrimination as I perceived there to be double standards for employees not related to or connected with the leadership team. These included higher expectations and standards applied inconsistently across the workforce. I feel let down by both the company and its HR department, as my experiences and observations were never adequately addressed. Despite the challenges I have faced, I sincerely hope for the company to acknowledge these systemic issues and make significant changes in its management practices and workplace culture for the sake of future employees. It is essential for any organization to create a fair and respectful working environment for all, regardless of their background or connections within the company.

Pros

Helpful colleagues, 90 % Remote, in office once per month w/ lunch provided, competitive pay

Cons

Extremely disorganized onboarding, training only useful if completed by corporate team, a lot of micro management, expected to log every thing you do -sending an email requires you to log at least five minutes and to paste said email into time keeping system. There isn't much room for growth unless you have 3-5 years to invest first. You are expected to lean heavily on an outdated library of information to complete work you were not properly trained to do. You will need to fend for yourself post training and you will not be set up to succeed due to having virtually no caseload...because you're new. You are still expected to reach monthly numbers regardless. Due to WFH, culture is diminished- though colleagues are nice, don't expect to make friends or hang out buddies.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience in our Atlanta location. We are so glad to hear that you enjoy our hybrid work model, your supportive and helpful colleagues, and our competitive pay. Though some of your experiences are vastly different from what we hear from other employees, we take concerns seriously and value your feedback. Our Yardi trainers strive to set employees up for success by providing fundamentals and quality training material for each employee. Trainers are available to assist employees with questions and provide ongoing support so that each employee can feel confident as they train and learn about our software and protocols. Time spent supporting clients is logged so we can ensure that our clients’ needs are being met and that employees can best prioritize their deliverables. Logged time includes training, peer support, as well as personal time. When it comes to growth and career path options, we know that providing opportunities for training, learning, and advancement are critical for employee happiness and success! We strongly encourage employees to meet regularly with their managers to discuss their goals and find ways to be best supported, and HR has an open-door policy to provide additional support. We genuinely encourage anyone who has questions or concerns to reach out to their manager or our VP of Human Resources to discuss further.
